Our work
Farming that works in a dry land
Most families in GMVS’s working area depend on agriculture and animal husbandry, and both suffer when the rains fail.
GMVS brings knowledge of modern technology to farmers and motivates them towards agriculture. It encourages people to take up animal husbandry, and it teaches soil conservation and new techniques to villagers.
These efforts are part of GMVS’s response to drought: improved agriculture, drought mitigation and better use of the land that families already have.
What this covers
- Modern farming knowledge for farmers
- Soil conservation and new techniques
